Parquet priming

Thanks to their binding and strengthening properties, primers reinforce the parquet and prevent damage to it.

The other job of the primer coat is to reduce how much of the next material – the lacquer – soaks in, and to make it soak in evenly across the whole surface.

The result is a stable base that absorbs less and evenly, with strong bonds between the layers.

Applying primer counts as lacquering: the primer is a coat of lacquer.
