Laying and gluing parquet
Laid correctly and looked after correctly, a parquet floor lasts for decades without needing to be restored.
The base
For parquet to be laid well, it is very important that the base is level, firm and dry.
Parquet glued to the screed
All over Europe parquet is glued to the screed. Laid this way the wood does not vibrate or creak, the floor is exceptionally stable, and the wood warps less.
Parquet must always be glued with an adhesive made for the purpose.
